Laugh Out LOUD
4' x 4' acrylic on wood. I call her “Bethany” after all the flamboyant, big mouthed girls in school. She laughs the loudest and you definitely pay attention. Bethany is accompanied by hand built stoneware tiles which speak to the gift of laughter by Woody Allen, Quincy Jones, Yiddish Proverb and me (Cid Kent). Bethany also is sporting a red feather boa, crystal nose jewelry and fab earrings.
Horse MAGIC
2' x 4' acrylic on wood. As a animal lover, I have had the honor of being owned by horses. This piece was inspired by our comrades in animal arms. The hand built stoneware tiles read as follows: To love one another give us Humanity. To love and care for a pet gives us Grace. To be loved by a horse gives us MAGIC.
I know who you really are
This is inspired by my 17 year old son. In the process of becoming a man with all the fits and starts, I feel that only our maker and your mother really knows who you are and who you will become. 2.5'x 4' acrylic on birch with hand made porcelain tiles.
